Gaga goes Classic?

This may be old news to some, but I came across this interesting music group called Aston from Australia.
They describe themselves as a "[group of] six members...aged between 21 and 23, …out of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, the most distinguished music school in Australia. Some members are not due to graduate until the end of the year, but they are all already professional young musicians of the highest calibre"

Highest calibre is right.

Take a listen:

Riverdancing dog

I realized I missed St. Patrick's day this year...

On a lighter note, here's a dog performing the riverdance.

Asians in the Library

Anyone who has an internet IQ of 20 or higher, has probably seen (or at least heard of ) the infamous "Asians in the Library" YouTube video that went viral last weekend.

The video features a UCLA junior who posted a rant on Asian students who talk on their cell phones in the library, claiming they fail to use "American manners".

The original video was removed by the student herself, so I will not post the rant here. However, hundreds of people have reposted the video, so if you have not already seen the notorious video, search "Asians in the library repost" on YouTube- I guarantee you won't have any trouble finding it.

What I want to share with you are the countless parodies, remixes, and responses that have been created as a result of this controversial video.

Here are some of my favorites.

Pray for Japan 2011

I am one of the millions of residents of Japan affected by this terrible tragedy.

Unless you've been living under a rock for the past few days, you probably have heard about the massive 9.0 magnitude earthquake that hit Japan on March 11th, 2011.
The epicenter of the quake was said to be in Northern Japan, near Sendai.
Shortly after, 10m (over 30ft) tsunamis followed wiping out towns and cities in a matter of minutes.
As if that wasn't bad enough, international news outlets are now calling it a "nuclear meltdown" relating the incident to the Chernobyl incident of 1986.

Some of us are waiting for the next big earthquake that is rumored to hit, some of us have left the country... Either way, talking about this subject puts me to tears.
However, that is not what this blog is about.

As much as I'd like to post the hundreds of videos on the internet of what exactly is going on here, I would like to take the time to post the usual videos, just to (at least) try and bring a smile to people faces here... since everything else on the TV and the internet seems to be bad news.

Here it goes:

Seen Christina Aguilera's movie Burlesque?
Seen a little asian boy rock out to her moves and totally kill it?
Now you have.

if you're still not convinced, here's a side-by-side comparison of him doing the moves to a different song (I think it's Korean).
It's right on it's a little scary

Speaking of side-by-side comparison...
This video went viral a couple years ago, but it still never fails to make me laugh.
Pure Genius.
