You've seen dogs do all sorts of tricks, sit, stay, roll over, walk on their hind legs, even sing!
It's too bad none of those tricks help us, the owners...
until now. Meet Jesse.

Creative Hillbillies
I'm from a small town in the Midwestern United States, so I know how creative people can get when they grow up in a similar setting.
until this happens...
euf...it's all fun and games until someone gets hurt. Or pregnant.
But mostly hurt.
Here's a perfect example.
Hill + Bale of Hay = Fun
right?
right?

Dude, have you seen this one video about...
Being a YouTube fanatic, I find myself in the following situation almost daily:
Suddenly remembering a funny YouTube video somewhat related to the topic of discussion.
Then showing the video to my peers and awaiting that great reaction...
I know what kind of reaction to expect from my peers, but this following video records children's reactions to some of the most viral videos on the internet.
The interviews afterwards are pretty funny, and DAMN adorable too.
Enjoy!
ah, there's a second episode!

He's Climbing in your Window...
Before you jump to judge me because I'm reviewing a video that exploded all over the internet a months ago, I promise you this post will get better toward the end.
So, if you haven't seen the video of young Antoine Dodson, I'm guessing you've been living under a rock for the past few months.
Dodson, from Huntsville, Alabama rose to fame this July for his less than ordinary interview.
Just in case you haven't seen it, here is the original video:
Ok, so a few days after the original video went viral, the Auto-tune the News guys made a GENIUS remix of the interview.
(be sure to check out their other stuff too, here's a link to my personal favorite video of theirs)
Now for the Grand Finale. I just discovered this video a few days ago, and before I got a chance to review it, it's already become one of the most viewed videos on the internet.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I give to you,
(drumroll...)
The Antoine Dodson Halloween Costume.
See it for yourself:
and just when you thought Antoine Dodson couldn't get any better...

You Look Like a Man.
I've seen a lot of make up tutorials on YouTube, but this one is flat out amazing.
The girl in the video is SelfOblivion, a young girl from Russia who posts videos of her dressing up as Jared Leto, the lead singer from 30 seconds to Mars (and the blonde kid from Fight Club).
I don't know how old she is, but MAN, does she have skills.

Your Accent is Weird.
When there are over 1.5 billion English speakers world-wide, sooner or later you're going to get a nice variety of different accents.
Here to demonstrate a few (24 of them!) is Jake from London-town.
I could go on about how amazing this guy is, but let's get to the presentation already, shall we?
Although Jake usually vlogs about online games such as World of Warcraft, he is definitely gifted in the accent-replicating department.
I'm probably most familiar with the "all-around" American, New-Yorker, and southern American accent, kinda iffy about the Japanese-English accent but still pretty good.
Thoughts?

Talking Dogs
If you ever want your video to hit a million views,
just upload a video of your pet talking.
Pretty simple.
Here are some of the most famous talking dogs on the internet.
Mishka, the articulate husky:
Recently, the ownered auto-tuned her voice and the video went viral.
Odie, the talking pug, also says "I love you".
Sounds a little like lung cancer compared to Mishka, but still adorable.
Saving the best for last, this video became so popular it was broadcasted on most major news shows in the US.
If you don't know which video I'm talking about, look no further.
Behold, the KING of all talking-dog-videos:

Double Front Flip Fail
Sometimes you already know what you're about to see, yet something in the back of our mind tells us to watch the video anyway to confirm just how crazy it is.
The title of this video is "Double Front Flip Fail"
Nothing absurd…but you still want to see it, don't you.
GEEZ! a lot worse than you expected it to be, no?
The first time I saw this, I had a "ooooooooooh!!!" moment at 7am in the morning.
Great way to start the day thinking, "I'm sure my day is better than this guys"

Lowered Expectaions
In a land before internet connection ruled the world,
there was video dating.
This is a montage of the best of the best video dating introductions/pick-up lines.
So sit back, relax, and let the creepy begin.

The Backwards Man
Now this, is a pretty neat music video.
Using rewound video footage is nothing new,
but this video is shot ENTIRELY backwards, including the singing.
The icing on the cake?
600 PILLOWS, yes pillows were used in the making of the video.
pretty damn cool, no?
My favorite part is around the 2:28 mark where it looks as though pillows are being thrown on them and they catch it in the perfect pose.
very creative, very neat.
Be sure to check out RhettandLink's YouTube channel, their other stuff is pretty cool too.

Japanese Commercials
One of more frequent questions I get from people after I tell them I live in Japan, is
"Why are Japanese commercials so crazy?"
I wish I had an answer, but unfortunately I don't.
So until I come up with one, please take this time to enjoy some of my personal favorites:
Let's start off with some of the basics.
This is why Japanese commericals are so great, the dog has absolutely NOTHING to do with the chips this commercial is selling.
Look, I get where they were trying to go with this, these particular chips have a "punch" of consommé, which they attempt to express multiple times through a play on words, with the dog being "punched" with heartbreak after he sees the kid has a crush on.......Uh yeah, I have no idea where they were trying to go with this.
This one's more weird than funny:
I genuinely don't understand.
At all.
So, I get the celebrity endorsement,
I get the keep-product-in-frame-at-all-times to sell the product,
I don't get the gradually-wearing-more-fruit element.
I get the keep-product-in-frame-at-all-times to sell the product,
I don't get the gradually-wearing-more-fruit element.
The commercial is a couple years old, but the same guy is still to this day the spokesperson for Dole.
The Ad must have been a hit with Dole if they decided to keep him on board. *shrugs shoulders*
A friend of mine sent me this one a couple weeks ago, and it instantly became one of my favorites.
I wonder how many takes it took to get it right.
On second thought, I don't care. This commercial is amazing regardless.
This one I saw on TV very recently.
and surprise! it also exploded on the internet. I had a feeling it would…
and surprise! it also exploded on the internet. I had a feeling it would…
I feel like this is one of those commercials you'd see on "World's Best banned commercials".
It's creative, and (a little too) memorable, but I'm not sure if it makes me want to go to Fuji-Q High land.
Have a favorite Japanese commercial?

Just Dance
Now this is absolutely precious.
The video starts off just like any home video of a mother video taping
her cute daughter gettin' her groove on.
...then something that'll blow your mind starts to happen.
No, no one dies.

No, no one dies.
It's obviously not an amature video, it's actually a commercial for the Samsung Galaxy Phone,
buuut it's still pretty spectacular, no? (not to mention friggin adorable!)
Surely one of the most creative commercials I've seen for a while.
Hats off to the creative team!

Increase Work Efficiency with YouTube?
At work, my team members and I are required to write an activity report every week.
We're also required to end the report with a story and/or announcement completely unrelated to work, just to share a little personal side of ourself.
Most people write about incidents that happened to them over the weekend, but I have been sharing non-verbal, safe-for-work(important), entertaining videos with all of my colleagues for the past 2 years.
Needless to say, I'm known as the "YouTube Girl" at the office.
I came across this interesting article the other day posted by @WomensHealthMag on twitter.
According to Women's Health Magazine,
taking a couple minutes out of your work day to watch an entertaining YouTube video (or two) can give your brainpower a big boost.
"You can counteract stress—and roll back psychological aging—with laughter. Even the anticipation of a good laugh decreases the stress chemicals cortisol and epinephrine by 39 and 70 percent, respectively, say researchers at Loma Linda University. Laughter is also great for the heart. When participants in a University of Maryland study watched stressful film clips, they experienced vasoconstriction—a narrowing of the blood vessels—while the blood vessels of those watching funny films expanded by 22 percent. "
-Joel Weber from Women's Health magazine 2010
http://www.womenshealthmag.com/health/boost-your-brainpower?page=6
So not only was I sharing laughter with my co-workers,
I was increasing the entire work efficiency of my team!
Quick! Get my manager on the phone, I have a feeling I deserve a raise!

My favorite YouTube video of all time
If YouTube were the world, and each video was a person, this guy would be my BEST FRIEND.
I discovered this video about 2 years ago (although it was uploaded ages ago)
and was literally "LMFAO" when I saw it for the first time.
It's just something about cats... falling...
Oh, just watch it already. Please.

Eat, Sleep, Internet.
A "Blogger" as defined by the American Heritage Dictionary:
A person who writes entries in, adds material to, or maintains a weblog.
While as A "Blogger" defined by the Urban Dictionary:
Term used to describe anyone with enough time or narcissism to document every tedious bit of minutia filling their uneventful lives. Possibly the most annoying thing about bloggers is the sense of self-importance they get after even the most modest of publicity. Sometimes it takes as little as a referral on a more popular blogger's website to set the lesser blogger's ego into orbit.
Harsh Words.
I do read a lot of blogs, and judging by what I've seen, it seems like there's one rule of thumb for blogging:
YOU MUCH FIT THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA TO BLOG:
A) YOUR JOB IS EXTREMELY INTERESTING
B) YOU ARE AN INCREDIBLE WRITER
C) YOU ARE VERY FAMOUS
...and here's where I stand:
A) YOUR JOB IS EXTREMELY INTERESTING
not exactly a party
B) YOU ARE AN AMAZING WRITER
is "necessary" spelled with 2 Cs or 1?
C) YOU ARE VERY FAMOUS
My mom tells me I'm special.
So, since I don't fit any of the above criteria, I will not be blogging about
A) my Job
B) showcasing my incredible writing skills
C) my mother.
Instead, I'll be doing what I do best... which is
SHARING THE FRUITS OF THE INTERNET.
I spend an unhealthy amount of time surfing the internet (mostly YouTube),
and I come across a lot of interesting material.
Some things put me in deep thought and allow me to reflect on my life, while others are just flat out stupid. (but oh so hilarious)
This Blog is an outlet for me to share websites/videos I find on the internet that I find to be interesting (or just stupid and funny).
